Joseph J. Haddad

Joseph J. Haddad is the founder of JJH Law and an accomplished attorney with over a decade of experience in complex civil litigation. His practice focuses primarily on employment-related matters, advocating for both employers and employees in disputes involving Title VII, the ADA, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, non-compete agreements, retaliation, and more. Joseph brings a strategic approach to litigation, offering tailored solutions while guiding clients through sensitive workplace legal issues.

Joseph earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2000. During law school, he was a staff member and associate editor for the University of Oregon Law Review.

Joseph began his legal career at Stoel Rives, Portland’s largest law firm, where he focused on commercial litigation, including securities, product liability, shareholder disputes, and antitrust cases. He later expanded into employment law with a national labor firm, defending clients in a range of employment-related litigation across various courts and forums. Highlights of his litigation success include a defense verdict in a million-dollar disability discrimination lawsuit and securing a favorable arbitration award in a sexual harassment case.

Joseph’s deep legal knowledge and proactive legal counsel have helped employers reduce workplace liability without sacrificing organizational culture. He continues to advise clients in employment law while maintaining a broad civil litigation practice, including business disputes, commercial real estate, and shareholder conflicts.

Licensed in Oregon and Washington, Joseph J. Haddad is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has authored legal writings, spoken on employment issues, and contributed to legal education through CLE publications.
