Dean Amburn

Dean Amburn is the managing attorney and founder of The Pure.Law Firm, formerly Amburn Law, where he leads a distinguished practice focused on intellectual property litigation and IP asset protection. With over 30 years of experience, he handles high-stakes patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright cases across multiple jurisdictions.

Dean holds a Juris Doctor and is admitted to practice in Michigan, Delaware, and Texas, as well as various federal courts, including the Sixth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is also a registered patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, representing clients in prosecution, appeals, reexaminations, and inter partes reviews.

Dean has successfully represented Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and inventors in critical IP disputes before the ITC, TTAB, and U.S. District Courts. In addition to litigation, he advises clients on IP strategy, conducts freedom-to-operate and invalidity analyses, and drafts licensing and IP agreements to support long-term innovation.
