Theodore Roe

Theodore Roe, Esq., is a seasoned attorney at Veritas Business Law, LLC, where he counsels individuals and companies across a wide spectrum of intellectual property and business law issues. His practice includes advising on trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and infringement, as well as entity formation, regulatory compliance, securities, and business litigation.

Theodore holds a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law (1998) and completed year-abroad programs at both Cambridge University (1996) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (1998). He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin in 1994. He is admitted to the Oregon State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.

Throughout his legal career, Theodore has filed over 1,000 trademark and copyright registration applications and resolved numerous high-profile IP disputes. He has represented clients from across the U.S. and over 30 countries in Oregon courts. Notably, he successfully defended Oregon residents in a major copyright case filed by a Hollywood studio.

Theodore’s litigation experience includes minority shareholder disputes, contract and employment conflicts, regulatory challenges, and cannabis industry matters. His ability to navigate complex commercial and IP issues has made him a trusted advocate for both domestic and international clients.

Theodore’s professional affiliations include the American Bar Association and Oregon State Bar, where he has served on several committees. He’s also contributed to the Federal Bar Association and International Trademark Association, showcasing his leadership within the legal community.

Theodore Roe has authored numerous publications on intellectual property and cannabis law and is a frequent speaker at industry and legal conferences. His work has earned recognition from the Portland Business Journal and honors such as Lawyers of Distinction.
