She has practiced law in Monroe, North Carolin, since 1996, representing individuals across Union, Anson, Stanly, and Richmond Counties. Carol completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina, earning a B.A. in 1991. She later pursued legal training at Wake Forest University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 1996. Carol was appointed to serve two terms as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Indigent Defense Services Commission. In this role, she helped oversee the delivery of criminal defense services to indigent individuals statewide, reinforcing fair representation and ethical legal standards within the justice system.
