About

Brian E. Lahti is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney who represents clients nationwide in complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. His litigation practice spans patent, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, defamation, securities, contract, and real property matters, as well as ADA compliance defense. He has successfully represented clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Brian earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and a teaching assistant in Civil Procedure and Appellate Advocacy. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, summa cum laude, from Westminster College, where he was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the National Economics Honor Society.

Throughout his career, Brian has secured significant victories for clients, including a $900,000 jury verdict in a complex business dispute, case-ending sanctions with a $1.3 million judgment in a fraud matter, and the successful defense of patent infringement claims upheld by the Federal Circuit. He has defeated high-stakes trade secret and securities claims and counseled clients in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and FINRA inquiries.

Beyond litigation, Brian delivers strategic guidance on intellectual property enforcement, corporate structuring, and competitive market positioning. He designs and executes offensive patent enforcement strategies that help clients secure and protect their competitive edge. With deep, industry-specific experience in the wine sector, Brian advises wineries on both legal and business issues and holds a Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 with Merit certification.

Prior to his current practice, Brian E. Lahti was an associate at an AmLaw 100 law firm, where he also engaged in patent reform advocacy, with his work cited on the floor of the U.S. Senate. Recognized as a Mountain States Rising Star by Super Lawyers, he brings both legal acumen and business insight to every case, delivering results-driven representation tailored to client goals.
