Brandon T. Darden is a skilled litigator and trusted advisor whose practice focuses on oil and gas law and commercial litigation. He represents clients in matters involving lease negotiations, mineral servitudes, right-of-way agreements, and complex emerging energy transactions, including solar development and carbon capture projects. His counsel helps businesses navigate disputes and avoid litigation.

Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Medieval Studies from Southern Methodist University in 2008, graduating summa cum laude and receiving Phi Beta Kappa honors. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from SMU’s Dedman School of Law in 2011, where he served as Case Note & Comment Editor for the Science and Technology Law Review and published a legal comment on cyberbullying and the CFAA.

Licensed in Louisiana and Texas, Brandon has extensive courtroom experience, appearing in state and federal courts in both jurisdictions. His litigation portfolio includes expropriation proceedings, royalty and indemnity disputes, contract breaches, and arbitrations. He has served as lead or co-counsel in numerous high-stakes matters for energy companies, landowners, and corporate clients.

In addition to litigation, Brandon advises clients on business strategy, risk management, and transactional matters. His work spans sectors such as oil and gas, construction, heavy transportation, banking, and employer trade associations.
