Angelique Groza Lyons is a seasoned employment law attorney with years of litigation experience across federal and state courts. She manages complex matters under the FLSA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA, and FMLA, and is trusted for her ability to lead class and collective actions, guiding employers through demanding disputes and compliance challenges.
Angelique began her academic journey at the University of Florida, earning her B.S. in Sports Administration with highest honors in 1994. She continued at the University of Florida College of Law, where she achieved her J.D. with high honors in 1997. Since then, she has gained admission to the Florida Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and multiple U.S. District Courts across Florida.
Angelique applies her knowledge in both courtroom and administrative settings. She frequently represents employers before agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, OFCCP, and state entities. In addition, she provides tailored advice on employee relations, wage and hour compliance, affirmative action planning, and workplace policies, ensuring that businesses maintain compliance while fostering effective employment practices.
Angelique’s leadership extends beyond litigation. Angelique has served in numerous roles with professional and civic organizations, including as Past President of HR Martin County and as a long-standing committee member for the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County. She has also contributed to the HR community through legislative and leadership positions in Martin County and Lucie County Human Resources Associations.
Recognition of Angelique’s work includes being named to Florida Super Lawyers in 2011 and receiving honors such as Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year from HR Martin County.
