Jonathan Diego

Jonathan Diego has been practicing law in New Jersey since 1994, with a focus on workers’ compensation, employment law, personal injury, and civil rights. As Special Counsel, he also represents clients in criminal defense, municipal court, and domestic violence matters. Over his career, Diego has handled hundreds of trials and hearings, building a reputation for strong advocacy and a commitment to protecting individual rights.

Diego earned his B.A., cum laude, from Mars Hill University and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden. He received numerous scholarships and honors for academic excellence, including awards from the Atlantic County Bar Association and Camden County Bar Foundation. While at Mars Hill, he was recognized as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha and Phi Alpha Theta, reflecting his strong foundation in political science and history.

Following law school, Diego clerked for two Superior Court Judges in New Jersey, gaining valuable insight into trial practice. He later served as a civil rights attorney, representing victims of discrimination before state and federal courts, as well as agencies like the EEOC. He also held key roles as a government attorney and later as Chief Prosecutor for Atlantic City, while continuing to represent employees and individuals in private practice.

Outside the courtroom, Jonathan Diego is deeply involved in both professional and community leadership. He has provided pro bono legal counsel to organizations including the NAACP and the New Jersey Police Administrators Association, while mentoring young people and serving on multiple nonprofit boards. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Diego is committed to advancing justice through strategic advocacy, community engagement, and public service.
