About
Daniel E. Turner is a shareholder at Littler, where he counsels and represents employers on complex employment law matters. He has served as lead counsel in more than 70 class and collective actions nationwide, litigating issues involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and leaves of absence. His experience spans both jury and non-jury trials in federal and state courts.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of West Georgia in 1992. He then earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law in 1995, where he served as assistant managing editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. He later shared his expertise as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law.
Daniel has successfully defended clients in more than 25 states, serving as lead or coordinating counsel in class and collective actions in over 20 states. His practice includes defending corporations in nationwide discrimination and wage and hour claims, representing employers in Department of Labor investigations, and counseling businesses on strategies to avoid litigation. He frequently assists employers in resolving complex compliance challenges through arbitration agreements, audits, and internal investigations.
Recognized by leading publications such as Best Lawyers in America, Georgia Super Lawyers, Chambers USA, and the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, Daniel has established himself as a trusted authority in employment law.
Daniel E. Turner’s published work includes co-authoring a chapter in Employment Discrimination Law, 4th Edition (Bloomberg BNA). Through litigation, teaching, and writing, he has consistently developed employer-focused solutions to navigate the evolving landscape of workplace laws.
