Alreen Haeggquist has built her career on defending employees against workplace injustice. For over 20 years, she has fought cases involving wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage theft, securing millions of dollars in recoveries for her clients. Known for taking on powerful corporations and public entities, she consistently delivers results for individuals wronged by their employers.
Alreen earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego, where she also completed minors in law and society and Latin American history. She later obtained her J.D. from California Western School of Law, graduating third in her class. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of both the California Western Law Review and the California Western International Law Journal, and was named to the Dean’s List. She is also a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming.
Alreen has represented clients in high-profile matters, including claims against Trader Joe’s, Sharp Healthcare, Wyndham, Kaiser Permanente, and government agencies such as the County of San Diego and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Her advocacy led to a landmark trial victory in a disability discrimination case against Kaiser Permanente, ranked among California’s Top 50 Employment Verdicts. She also served as class counsel in the widely publicized Trump University litigation, which resulted in a $25 million settlement. Other significant outcomes include confidential settlements in gender discrimination and sexual harassment cases, as well as arbitration awards and jury verdicts reaching into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

His work has earned her repeated recognition in the legal community. She has been honored as a San Diego Super Lawyer every year since 2016, consistently listed among the Top 25 Women Super Lawyers and Top 50 San Diego Super Lawyers. She has also been named to The Best Lawyers in America, ranked among the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and recognized with numerous professional awards highlighting her influence in employment law.
