About
Amber Eck is a seasoned trial attorney with more than 26 years of experience advocating for employees, consumers, and shareholders in significant and often high-profile cases. She has served as lead trial counsel in both federal and state courts, obtaining multiple six- and seven-figure recoveries for clients and confronting some of the nation’s most recognized corporations and individuals.
Amber earned her B.A. in Communications and Marketing from Pepperdine University, graduating magna cum laude. She later obtained her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, also magna cum laude. This strong academic foundation prepared her for a career dedicated to addressing workplace misconduct, consumer fraud, and securities violations on behalf of those whose voices are often overlooked.
Amber has handled a wide range of employment disputes, including cases of sexual harassment, wrongful termination, pay inequity, and discrimination tied to age, gender, race, pregnancy, disability, and religion. She has taken on major companies such as Trader Joe’s, Calpine, Dollar Tree, LuLaRoe, Cheesecake Factory, Jollibee, and Cemex on behalf of her clients. Beyond employment disputes, she has taken on class actions that secured multimillion-dollar settlements, including $25 million in the Trump University case, $84 million in securities litigation against Cliffs Natural Resources, and $20 million against El Pollo Loco.
Amber’s dedication to justice extends through extensive pro bono service. As a member of the Southern District of California’s Pro Bono Panel, she has represented indigent individuals, including serving as trial counsel for an inmate asserting 8th Amendment claims. Her contributions have been honored with the Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Service Award and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program Distinguished Service Award.
Amber has also been widely recognized by peers and professional organizations. She has repeatedly been listed among the top 25 women lawyers and top 50 lawyers in San Diego, named a San Diego Super Lawyer, and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell.
Amber Eck continues to share her knowledge through speaking engagements at conferences and professional forums, addressing workplace equality, leadership, and legal strategies. Her record reflects a career built on persistence, skill, and unwavering dedication to clients and the community.
