Aaron D. Ford serves as the Attorney General of Nevada, where he upholds justice, protects citizens’ rights, and ensures accountability across the state. Before his election as Attorney General, he served as Majority Leader of the Nevada State Senate, where his leadership and legislative accomplishments earned him recognition as Senator of the Year by the Nevada Conservation League and Best Senate Freshman by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. His service has been defined by fairness, collaboration, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of Nevadans.
Aaron earned his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, an M.A. in International Education from George Washington University, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Administration, along with a J.D. from The Ohio State University. His academic achievements reflect a lifelong dedication to learning and leadership. Before entering law, he worked as a public school math teacher, shaping young minds and inspiring future generations through education.
After transitioning into law, Aaron clerked for the Honorable Denise Page Hood of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He later became a partner at Snell & Wilmer, LLP and Eglet Prince in Las Vegas, where he developed a strong reputation for excellence in litigation and advocacy.
Beyond his professional achievements, Aaron D. Ford is recognized for his community service and leadership. He has served on the Clark County Justice of the Peace Selection Committee and been named among the Mountain States’ Super Lawyers and Rising Stars in Law. His ongoing dedication to Nevada extends to his work with youth organizations and his continued mentorship of future leaders. Through integrity, compassion, and vision, Aaron continues to serve as a driving force for justice and equality in Nevada.
