Zachary B. Tenry

Zachary B. Tenry leads the litigation department at Hotz & Associates, P.C., bringing a strategic and client-focused approach to every case. Since joining the firm in 2018, he has advocated for clients across Tennessee in matters involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, construction disputes, and consumer protection.

Mr. Tenry earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law in 2006. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2002, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology. His strong educational background laid the foundation for his well-rounded legal practice.

Before joining Hotz & Associates, Mr. Tenry launched his legal career at a leading insurance defense firm in Knoxville, where he gained deep insight into how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims. He later founded his own personal injury law firm, dedicated to representing people hurt in car accidents, truck crashes, and other serious incidents. This rare combination of defense and plaintiff experience gives his clients a strategic edge and the aggressive, informed advocacy they need to pursue maximum compensation.

Throughout his career, Mr. Tenry has represented national, state, and local insurance providers, real estate brokers, appraisers, and auctioneers. He has appeared before courts across Tennessee and has also handled legal matters in other jurisdictions. His litigation experience spans trial work, insurance coverage, and professional liability.

Zachary B. Tenry is licensed to practice in all Tennessee state and federal courts and is a member of the Tennessee and Knoxville Bar Associations. He has also authored legal publications, including Bad Faith General Application in the Insurer-Insured Relationship (2007), showcasing his deep understanding of insurer-insured dynamics and commitment to legal education.
