William R. Borchers

William R. Borchers is an accomplished intellectual property attorney with over two decades of experience turning innovative ideas into protected business assets. Based in San Antonio, he counsels clients across industries—from startups to large corporations—on identifying, developing, protecting, and monetizing their intellectual property through patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Will earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He later pursued his legal education at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in intellectual property law. Before entering legal practice, Will spent four years as an engineer working on radar systems and aerospace vehicles, which provided him with a technical depth that enhances his legal counsel.

Will has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications—over 800 in total—across diverse technologies, including medical devices, software, electronics, optics, industrial automation, and telecommunications.
