Jeremy M. Stipkala provides comprehensive intellectual property legal services across chemistry, pharmaceuticals, software, medical devices, and mechanical innovations. He assists clients with patent filings, trademarks, copyrights, and IP litigation while leading Thrive IP®, a dynamic law firm headquartered in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Jeremy earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Juniata College and Leeds University, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University. His Ph.D. work focused on solar energy research. He later obtained his J.D. with High Honors from The George Washington University Law School, graduating in the top 8% of his class while attending evening classes.

Jeremy began his legal career at the prestigious IP firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP in Washington, D.C. He then founded his practice—now Thrive IP®—growing it from a solo endeavor to a client-focused team. Over the years, he has led significant litigation efforts, secured numerous patents and trademarks, and structured corporate deals with a sharp eye on investment and exit strategy.

In addition to client work, Jeremy M. Stipkala frequently lectures on intellectual property topics for entrepreneurs, academic institutions, and business organizations. His speaking engagements span from local workshops to international forums, emphasizing the strategic importance of IP in business. He has also authored multiple books to guide law students and professionals through legal education and bar exam preparation.

Jeremy is licensed to practice in several states and federal courts and is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a certified civil court mediator. With deep technical knowledge and legal expertise, Jeremy is committed to helping innovators, startups, and businesses protect and leverage their intellectual property assets for long-term success.
