William H. Stoddard

William H. Stoddard has been practicing law in Southern Nevada since 1976, with a focus on business, corporate, and real estate law. He has built a strong reputation for handling complex litigation and transactions, serving a broad client base that ranges from startups to international companies across several industries.

William began his academic journey earning his B.A. in Economics, graduating cum laude from Utah State University and Brigham Young University in 1973. He then received his J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1976. His early foundation in economics continues to inform his approach to legal and business issues.

William regularly handles commercial transactions such as stock and asset-based acquisitions, real estate agreements, lease work-outs, and secured financing. He also appears before local and federal agencies to manage business licensing, land use, entitlements, and special use permits for clients in sectors like health care, construction, mining, and retail.

William has successfully represented clients in both State and Federal Courts and is also experienced in private mediations and arbitrations. His litigation work spans a variety of matters, including business disputes, corporate mergers, personal injury, car accidents, wrongful death, and work-related injuries.

William holds the highest A-V rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a distinction that reflects his professional excellence and ethical standards. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court District of Nevada, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. His bar memberships include the State Bar of Nevada, the Clark County Bar Association, and several national legal organizations.
