William F. Taylor, Jr.

William F. Taylor, Jr. is Senior Counsel at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP, where he focuses on business restructuring, bankruptcy litigation, and creditors’ rights. With decades of experience in Delaware state and federal courts, he is consistently ranked in The Deal’s Bankruptcy League Tables. He is known for guiding clients through some of the largest corporate bankruptcy cases in the country, protecting their interests in high-stakes reorganizations, liquidations, and litigation.

Mr. Taylor earned his B.A. from the University of Richmond in 1987 and his J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law in 1990. He is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His academic and professional background provide him with the knowledge and skills to address the complex challenges of bankruptcy and restructuring law.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Taylor has represented debtors-in-possession, secured and unsecured creditors, official committees, banks, landlords, liquidating trustees, and other parties in interest. He has prosecuted and defended thousands of lawsuits stemming from large corporate bankruptcies, giving him a deep understanding of the issues faced by businesses and creditors. His work also includes service as a court-approved bankruptcy mediator, where he helps parties resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
