Wendy R. Morgan

Wendy R. Morgan is the founder and owner of The Law Firm of Wendy R. Morgan, bringing more than four decades of experience to her practice. Licensed since 1981 and focused on family law since 1986, she is known for strategic thinking, formidable advocacy, and an exceptional ability to resolve even the most complex cases.

Wendy earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law after graduating magna cum laude from Loyola University with a double major in political science and philosophy. Her passion for family law began early, shaped by serving as a legal intern to the late Judge Willard Lasser and assisting in major felony trials during law school.

Respected by judges and colleagues alike, Wendy is recognized for “finding the angle” when other attorneys cannot. She is both a seasoned litigator and a master negotiator, securing favorable settlements for countless clients. Her understanding, compassion, and intuitive strategic insight distinguish her as a uniquely client-centered family law attorney.

Wendy’s background includes extensive experience in general practice, as well as work in bankruptcy, federal litigation, and appellate advocacy. Wendy is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and has successfully argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Court, further broadening her legal depth and versatility.

Wendy is one of the few attorneys with extensive expertise in interstate and international child custody disputes. She has worked closely with state authorities, the FBI, and international agencies, successfully recovering abducted children and navigating complex cross-border custody conflicts with precision and persistence.

Beyond her legal work, Wendy R. Morgan is deeply engaged in community and humanitarian service. A dedicated Rotarian, she has led international projects, taught in Guatemala, and supported global initiatives combating gender violence. Her diverse interests include Tae Kwon Do, music performance, scuba diving, and service in numerous professional and civic organizations.
