Maura G. Zalc

Maura G. Zalc is an experienced civil litigation and bankruptcy lawyer with more than 30 years of practice. She assists clients across the western suburbs with matters involving contract disputes, landlord-tenant issues, construction conflicts, mechanics liens, insurance disputes, lemon law, condominium issues, and Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Her approach is clear, practical, and focused on helping clients navigate difficult legal problems with confidence.

Maura earned her J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law, now Penn State Dickinson Law. She is admitted to the state bars of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, and Illinois. Her federal admissions include the District of New Jersey and the Northern District of Illinois. She is also a member of the Northern District of Illinois Federal Trial Bar. In addition, she is a chair-certified arbitrator and a Certified Eviction Mediator.

Maura began her career as in-house counsel for an insurance company, handling coverage matters and litigation strategy. She later worked as an insurance defense litigator, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of civil disputes. In 2015, she expanded her practice to include consumer bankruptcy, helping individuals through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. She has appeared on behalf of clients throughout DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties in both state and federal courts.
