Wai L. Choy is a partner at Proskauer Rose LLP and a key member of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Blockchain & Digital Assets groups. Known for his practical insight and cross-sector experience, Wai advises private equity firms, asset managers, startups, and global enterprises in industries such as technology, entertainment, healthcare, blockchain, and life sciences. He is especially skilled in structuring and negotiating corporate transactions, intellectual property deals, and strategic partnerships that align with each client’s business goals.
Wai earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review from 2010 to 2012. He also holds a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from The Wharton School and a B.F.A. in Film & Television and Acting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
In the mergers and acquisitions space, Wai structures and negotiates key documents including purchase, merger, IP licensing, and transition services agreements.
