Shay Meagle

Shay Meagle is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in business law and commercial litigation. She has successfully handled cases involving creditors’ rights, collections, contract disputes, and business partner conflicts. Shay is known for her precise legal strategy and extensive knowledge in bankruptcy and appeals, including federal circuit courts.

Shay began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University in 1993. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Capital University of Law in 1996. Her legal qualifications include bar admissions to the New Mexico Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court, several U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.

Shay’s litigation experience spans a range of commercial matters including business debtor issues and commercial lease disputes. She also brings valuable insight to estate planning and real estate law. Shay’s skill in appellate work has earned her opportunities to represent clients before multiple federal appellate courts, strengthening her reputation as a diligent and trusted advocate.

Shay is recognized as a Certified Creditor’s Rights Specialist by the American Board of Certification. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and actively contributes to the legal community through her service on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section. Shay also maintains memberships in both the American Bankruptcy Institute and the American Bar Association.
