Uri A. Itkin is a nationally recognized complex commercial litigator and trial lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes financial disputes. He serves as first-chair counsel in state and federal courts, arbitrations, bankruptcies, and trust instruction proceedings. Uri A. Uri earned a B.S., University of Maryland, College Park,in 2003. He later received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 2008. His academic training built a strong base in analytical thinking and advocacy, preparing him to manage sophisticated financial litigation and guide clients through challenging legal disputes.
Uri focuses on investment funds litigation, securities enforcement and litigation, restructuring litigation, and complex commercial litigation. He represents private equity firms, venture capital firms, real estate developers, investment banks, family offices, and other investors. His work often involves disputes tied to RMBS transactions, collateralized loan obligations, student loan collateral, and large development financing matters.
Uri has handled trust instruction proceedings involving hundreds of millions of dollars in residential mortgage-backed securities and disputes concerning over $1 billion in auction rate notes. He has represented lenders in federal court cases tied to multimillion-dollar construction loans and advised on joint venture and financing issues for major real estate projects.
