Tyler earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, graduating with honors and serving as Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Politics. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude as valedictorian of his department. He clerked for the Hon. Judge Edith H. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
Tyler has substantial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust litigation involving claims of monopolization, price fixing, and tying. He also advises and defends corporate clients and executives in DOJ and FTC investigations, including high-stakes regulatory inquiries. His ability to manage both courtroom litigation and confidential negotiations is a hallmark of his practice.
In addition to antitrust work, Tyler P. Young conducts confidential internal investigations for global corporations, with a particular focus on the tech sector. He has successfully defended clients in federal prosecutions, managing plea deals and navigating trial proceedings with precision. Prior to joining Yetter Coleman, he practiced at Latham & Watkins in San Francisco.
