Traci L. Carrillo is an experienced trial lawyer known for her strong advocacy in criminal law, family law, and victims’ rights cases. She has represented clients in matters involving domestic violence, child custody, sexual assault, and homicide. Drawing on her prosecutorial background, she brings exceptional trial skill and compassion to every case she handles.
Traci earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Her legal education provided a foundation for her analytical and advocacy abilities, shaping her into a trusted advocate for justice.
Traci’s career includes 15 years as a Deputy District Attorney in Riverside and Sonoma Counties, where she managed complex and high-profile prosecutions. She served on the homicide team, led domestic violence initiatives, and completed over 75 trials. Since transitioning into private practice in 2015, she has continued her commitment to protecting victims and defending clients across all areas of criminal and family law.
Traci’s outstanding trial performance has earned her numerous honors, including the “Felony Prosecutor of the Year” award from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and the “Larry J. Scoufos Trial Advocacy Award” from the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office. Her respected reputation in the courtroom also extends to the educational community, where she regularly presents at programs hosted by the Sonoma County Bar Association and Sonoma County Women in Law.
Traci L. Carrillo also demonstrates deep community involvement through her volunteer work. She serves as a mentor and judge for mock trial competitions, co-hosts the radio show “Justice Gone Wild,” and leads charitable initiatives benefiting youth programs such as CHOP’S Teen Club. Her enduring dedication to advocacy, education, and community engagement reflects her lifelong mission to achieve justice and empower others.
