Todd Rokita

Todd Rokita is the 44th and current Attorney General of Indiana, serving since January 2021. A seasoned attorney and public official, he has built a distinguished career in law, governance, and public policy. Rokita’s legal and political journey reflects his commitment to upholding justice, strengthening state institutions, and protecting the rights of Indiana’s citizens. His leadership focuses on transparency, public safety, and accountability in government operations.

Rokita earned his B.A. from Wabash College and his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Before his election to statewide office, he served as an attorney and later as general counsel and deputy secretary of state. These early roles provided him with deep experience in election law, business regulation, and administrative governance, shaping his approach to public service and legal reform.

Before becoming attorney general, Rokita served as Secretary of State of Indiana from 2002 to 2010, becoming the youngest person in the nation to hold that office at the time. From 2011 to 2019, he represented Indiana’s 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he focused on constitutional issues, fiscal responsibility, and economic growth. His extensive record in state and federal government highlights his dedication to effective policy and principled leadership.
