Timothy R. Briggs

Timothy R. Briggs is a director at Miller Stratvert P.A., and he represents employers, businesses, insurers, and individuals in civil litigation and workers’ compensation lawsuits and disputes. He handles liquor liability defense, personal injury defense, employer liability, and general insurance defense. He has defended employers and companies in cases throughout New Mexico. He also represents oil and gas businesses and mining companies in claims involving personal injuries. His practice combines detailed case preparation with practical strategies suited to each client’s operations and litigation risks.

Timothy earned his B.A. summa cum laude in General Business and Political Science from New Mexico Highlands University in 1980. He received his J.D. cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1984. He participated in the Texas Tech Law Review during his legal education. His academic background supports his analysis of workplace disputes, liability claims, insurance issues, and other contested civil matters.

Timothy is admitted to practice in New Mexico, and he appears before the US District Court for the District of New Mexico. He is also admitted before the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He represents employers and companies in workers’ compensation, employer liability, and general insurance defense cases. He uses his knowledge of New Mexico law when defending claims involving workplace injuries, alcohol-related liability, and industrial operations.
