Timothy R. Beyer

Timothy R. Beyer is a Partner and experienced trial attorney focusing on antitrust, commercial, and complex litigation. He also handles international and US arbitrations and appeals. With over 44 years of practice, he has tried more than 35 cases across industries, including telecommunications, securities, and oil and gas.

Timothy earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan. His education supports his strong legal foundation and disciplined approach to litigation, helping him manage complex matters with clarity, structure, and careful legal analysis.

Timothy has led major antitrust matters, including defending real estate brokerages in nationwide commission cases and representing parties in wage-fixing and price-fixing class actions. He has also secured dismissals and defense judgments in high value cases, including oil and gas litigation involving claims exceeding one billion dollars.

Timothy has achieved significant trial and appellate success, including winning appeals in the Tenth and Third Circuit courts and the Missouri Supreme Court. He has handled high stakes cases such as fiduciary duty disputes, municipal tax trials, and large arbitration matters, consistently delivering strong results for clients.

Timothy also represents clients in international arbitration, including matters before the London Court of International Arbitration involving telecom and oil and gas disputes. His practice includes representing clients in investigations by agencies such as the Department of Justice, SEC, FTC, and other regulatory bodies.

Timothy has received many honors, including Colorado Antitrust Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America in 2022. He is recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Colorado Super Lawyers, and 5280 Magazine. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and former Fellow of the Litigation Council of America.
