Shawn Hauser

Shawn Hauser is a partner at Vicente LLP and co-chairs the Hemp and Cannabinoids Department and Federal and International Law Group. She advises cannabis, hemp, and psychedelics businesses on regulatory compliance and licensing. Her work focuses on helping clients navigate evolving laws across state, federal, and international markets.

Shawn earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She also holds a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and Texas, supporting clients across multiple jurisdictions with regulatory and business matters.

Shawn brings more than a decade of experience in cannabis law and policy. She advises businesses, industry groups, and governments on compliance, policy reform, and strategic planning. She has presented to organizations, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the UK Parliament, on cannabis law and policy issues.

Shawn has been widely recognized for her work in the industry. She has been named among the top cannabis lawyers by Chambers and Partners and recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®. She has also been listed in 5280 magazine’s “Denver’s Top Lawyers” and included in Denver Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”.
