Timothy L. Flanagan

Timothy L. Flanagan is a highly respected tax and estate planning attorney with decades of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate complex legal matters. His practice includes estate and trust administration, fiduciary law, and tax planning for wealthy clients. He also advises on corporate matters involving closely-held businesses and succession plans.

Timothy began his academic journey with a B.S. in Accounting from Florida Southern College in 1978. He then earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1981, followed by an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in 1983. This layered educational foundation has enabled him to develop deep expertise in tax and estate law.

Before entering private practice, Timothy served as Trust Counsel for Florida National Bank. In this role, he provided legal guidance for the bank’s Trust and Investment Division across the state. His hands-on experience with fiduciary responsibilities helped shape his detailed approach to client representation in both estate and tax matters.

Timothy is a Board Certified Tax Lawyer by The Florida Bar. He is an active member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section and has contributed to many of its committees. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a national organization of highly experienced trust and estate lawyers.
