Thomas P. Feher

Thomas P. Feher is a California trial lawyer and mediator at Thomas Feher Mediation, with a broad civil litigation background. Since 1990, he has litigated hundreds of cases for individuals, businesses, and public entities. His current work emphasizes business and employment law disputes while also covering corporate and partnership matters, real estate, construction, probate and trust litigation, commercial disputes, insurance matters, professional liability, healthcare-related litigation, agriculture disputes, and other civil claims.

Mr. Feher earned his B.A. in Political Science and Speech Communication from San Diego State University in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990. His mediation training includes the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution’s 40-hour Mediating the Litigated Case course and its Advanced Mediation Class. He has also served as a settlement officer, fee arbitrator, and participant in court alternative dispute resolution programs.

Mr. Feher has extensive litigation experience, including employment discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes, class actions, PAGA matters, public entity defense, civil rights claims, and complex business conflicts. He brings that litigation background to mediation and arbitration, using an understanding of business strategy and courtroom risk to evaluate disputes from multiple perspectives. His work also includes service as a Judge Pro Tem and as an arbitrator for fee disputes.

Thomas P. Feher is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has held leadership roles with the Kern County Bar Association and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He has served on alternative dispute resolution and fee arbitration committees and has spoken or moderated programs involving civil practice, employment law, wage and hour issues, law management, and professional liability. Through his law practice, he provides dispute resolution services in Bakersfield, California, for diverse legal matters.
