Thomas E. Lubnau II has built a distinguished legal career grounded in decades of service to Wyoming clients. He focuses on estate planning, probate, business matters, and health law, offering trusted guidance to families, ranchers, hospitals, and businesses across the state. Tom began his academic journey at the University of Wyoming, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in 1981. He continued his studies at the University of Wyoming College of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 1984. That same year, he was admitted to the Wyoming Bar and later admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Tom’s career spans nearly every area of law, from representing Fortune 500 companies to acting as General Counsel for Wyoming hospitals. His practice includes wills, trusts, asset protection, guardianship, succession planning, and digital asset management. Over time, he has also handled oil and gas, real estate, and corporate law matters. His ability to prevent disputes before they arise is a hallmark of his work.
Tom’s service to the profession and community has been significant. He dedicated 21 years to the Campbell County Fire Department and held leadership roles within the Wyoming Bar, including President. He also served a decade in the Wyoming State House of Representatives, where he was Majority Floor Leader and later Speaker of the House. These roles highlight his commitment to advancing both the legal field and public service.
