Tara Jensen is a seasoned civil rights and employment attorney at Madia Law LLC in Minneapolis. With over 15 years of litigation experience, she represents individuals in cases involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower claims, sexual harassment, and medical malpractice. Her legal advocacy focuses on challenging power imbalances and holding institutions accountable.

Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas in 2001, where she studied Peace and Justice Studies and Communications. She then received her Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law in 2006. While in law school, she earned recognition in moot court competitions and completed internships at the EEOC and the Center for Constitutional Rights.

Before joining Madia Law, Tara practiced in New York, where she was a litigation partner and attorney at prominent labor and employment firms. There, she represented labor unions and employees in complex workplace disputes, including wage violations and systemic discrimination. Her early legal career also included a prestigious clerkship with Judge Ronald L. Ellis of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, as well as a fellowship with a leading civil rights firm in Washington, D.C.

Licensed in Minnesota and New York, Tara is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association of Minnesota.
