Tamara Huckert

Tamara Huckert has built her legal career helping individuals facing challenging employment disputes. She focuses on employment counseling, negotiations, and litigation. Her cases often involve claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and North Carolina’s Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Act. She also manages wage and hour claims and whistleblower matters.

Tamara began her academic journey at Jamestown College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science. She graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as a Wilson Scholar. She earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. At Gonzaga, she served as Technical Editor for the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and the Women’s Law Caucus.

Tamara has been honored in the 24th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Litigation – Labor and Employment. She has been named a Super Lawyer by North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2017, after previously being listed as a “Rising Star” from 2014 to 2016. In addition to her legal practice, Tamara plays an active role in the Charlotte legal community. She served as President of the Women Lawyers of Charlotte and contributed in many leadership roles, including Treasurer and Membership Chair. She is also a committed member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
