Sweekrutha Shankar is the Co-Founder and Head of Immigration Business at Shankar Ninan & Co. LLP in New York. She leads one of the region’s most active immigration law practices, representing companies across industries such as finance, technology, pharmaceuticals, and retail. Known for her strategic approach and deep subject matter knowledge, Sweekrutha focuses on helping employers and individuals navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law.

Sweekrutha earned her J.D. from Touro College Law Center and her B.S., cum laude, in Finance from Temple University.

With over a decade of hands-on experience, Sweekrutha manages a team that processes more than 850 H-1B petitions each year. Her corporate immigration practice spans a wide range of employment-based visa categories, including H-1B, TN, L-1, E-3, O-1, P-3, R-1, and permanent residency through PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5 programs. She also counsels employers on I-140 priority date retention, RFE responses, and compliance matters.
