Susan M. Graham is the founder of Senior Edge Legal in Boise, where her practice focuses on estate planning and elder law for people who are retired or preparing for retirement. She helps clients develop customized plans involving trusts, wills, trust administration, probate, Medicaid planning, long-term care planning, and related asset-protection concerns. She opened her law practice in 1977 and has served Idaho families for decades.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from Boston University, and a J.D. from the University of Idaho in Moscow. She has also taught college-level finance courses at Washington State University and the University of Idaho. This combination of legal and financial education supports her work on estate structures, retirement-related planning, asset protection, and long-term family decision-making.
Susan has prepared estate plans for thousands of Idaho families and works closely with clients to identify planning goals, create appropriate documents, and keep plans current as circumstances change. Her practice includes trust-based and will-based plans, revocable trusts, living wills, probate and estate administration, Medicaid planning, and trust administration. She also presents educational seminars designed to help seniors understand estate planning and elder law issues.
Susan M. Graham has held leadership roles in the estate planning and elder law community, including co-founding and serving as past president of the American Association of Trust, Estate and Elder Law Attorneys. She also co-founded the Treasure Valley Estate Planning Council and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Her practice combines legal planning, financial perspective, and long-term client relationships.
