Steven began his academic journey at Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas. He earned his Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology from the University of Kansas in December 2002. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in May 2007, where he served as president of the International Law Society and captained the Jessup Moot Court team.
Steven gained early experience by working independently and with local firms after law school. He concentrated on bankruptcy and consumer landlord/tenant law, developing a strong foundation in financial legal matters. In 2012, he was hired to manage regional offices for a national bankruptcy firm, further broadening his expertise in both individual and business bankruptcy cases.
