Steven M. Cohen is a shareholder with over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. He advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financing matters. His work spans office, multifamily, retail, industrial, mixed-use, hotel, and raw land projects across diverse markets.

Steven earned an LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1995. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1989 and his A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1985. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, California, and New York.

Steven regularly represents developers, investors, and sponsors in structuring complex transactions. His experience includes forming partnerships and limited liability companies, advising on economic terms, management structures, exit strategies, and tax considerations. He provides clear guidance to help clients manage risk and achieve long-term business goals.

Steven has played a key role in advising a major purchaser of manufactured housing communities and overseeing fund formation, acquisitions, and financing. He also has extensive experience in the hospitality sector, including representing owners and developers in hotel and resort transactions, management agreements, and joint venture arrangements.
