Stephen Kepper is an accomplished attorney focusing on intellectual property, entertainment, and related litigation. Since joining Intellectual Property Consulting in 2015, he has represented clients in infringement disputes, unfair trade practice claims, trade secret matters, and licensing negotiations. His practice includes securing intellectual property rights and providing litigation support that protects the value of client innovations and creative work.
Stephen earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012, where he served on the Trial Advocacy Board and received the Law Excellence Award in Patent Law. He also holds a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Before law school, he applied his technical training as a marine engineer, contributing to the design and construction of offshore drilling rigs for a leading engineering firm in New Orleans.
A registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Stephen is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has built a strong reputation for combining technical knowledge with legal strategy to address complex intellectual property challenges.
In addition to his legal practice, Stephen Kepper has served as a board member and chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section, a board member for Friends of the Cabildo, and a vestry member and senior warden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. His recognitions include being named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in 2022 and 2024.
