Stacey Romberg is a Seattle-based attorney who helps clients with probate, estate planning, and business law needs. Stacey works closely with clients to solve issues and provide clear legal paths, whether in planning a will, managing a business, or handling a trust. Stacey began her academic journey with a tennis scholarship at Idaho State University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1985, graduating with High Honors. She later completed her J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law in 1987, cum laude. In 1991, she earned an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center with distinction.
Stacey’s early legal career started in Washington, D.C., drafting legislation for the U.S. Senate’s Office of Legislative Counsel. She worked in private practice and held a foreign lobbying registration during her time in D.C. After moving to Seattle in 1993, she served in roles including a Pro Tem Magistrate and session attorney for the Washington State Senate before starting her own firm in 1999.
Stacey uses her legal knowledge to assist individuals and small business owners in trust administration, powers of attorney, commercial leases, and business succession planning. She is known for guiding people through life’s legal challenges, from setting up businesses to drafting wills, with clarity and compassion.
Stacey writes legal articles for many respected outlets, such as the King County Bar Bulletin, GPSolo eReport, and Puget Sound Business Journal. She also shares insights through presentations hosted by groups like the U.S. Small Business Administration and eWomen Network, showing her commitment to helping others and improving the legal profession.
Stacey Romberg has been named a Super Lawyer in estate planning and probate from 2021 to 2024, a title held by only 5% of lawyers. She was also recognized as an “Outstanding Volunteer” by the Washington State Bar Association. Through both her legal work and writing, Stacey has helped build public trust in ethical and skilled attorneys.
