Skip Sperry

Skip Sperry is a Boise attorney whose career has focused on business, employment, and labor law in both in-house and private-practice settings. He advises organizations on workplace compliance, contracts, labor relations, human resources issues, and business risk. His approach emphasizes education and prevention as well as litigation strategy, helping employers address legal concerns before they become larger operational or courtroom problems.

Skip earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Idaho in 1989 and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law in 1993. He served as an Assistant Editor of the Creighton Law Review. His academic background supports a practice that requires careful legal analysis, clear communication, and practical understanding of organizational decision-making and employee relations.

Skip has served as senior counsel for Idaho Power, general counsel for SCP Global Technologies, and counsel and consultant to organizations on employment and labor matters. His work has included discrimination claims, wage and hour issues, labor contracts, internal investigations, reductions in force, immigration-related employment issues, corporate governance, domestic and international contracts, business transactions, litigation management, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also taught hundreds of legal and human-resources courses.

Skip Sperry combines in-house business experience with private-practice litigation and counseling. He co-founded the Idaho State Bar Employment and Labor Law Section, has participated in business and labor law organizations, and has served in professional and community leadership roles. His broad background helps employers evaluate legal risk, structure policies and agreements, manage disputes, and make informed decisions that align legal requirements with business operations.
