Sherrie M. Flynn is a Partner at Coleman & Horowitt, LLP, where she provides skilled legal counsel across intellectual property, business, real estate, and construction law. Since joining the firm in 2013, she has used her extensive experience in engineering and industry to help clients protect their ideas, grow their companies, and resolve complex disputes. Before joining the firm, she practiced at The Law Offices of Andrew D. Fortney, a Fresno-based intellectual property boutique, and previously worked with Baker Manock & Jensen.
Sherrie earned her J.D. with High Honors at San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno, California. She was recognized as Best Oral Advocate in the Moot Court Competition of George A. Hopper and served as Managing Editor of Agricultural Law Review, San Joaquin College of Law, during law school. She also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which provides her with a strong technical foundation that enhances her work in patent and trademark law.
Sherrie has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including business transactions, construction disputes, and intellectual property registration and enforcement throughout her career. She has helped clients secure nearly 100 issued patents and numerous registered trademarks, and she has achieved multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements in trademark infringement cases. Her work includes obtaining permanent injunctions and defending clients in complex trademark cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Sherrie M. Flynn is known for her practical approach and dedication to protecting her clients’ rights. She was admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as multiple federal courts and California state courts. She is an active member of several professional associations. She serves on the boards of Sierra Challenge Express and Central Valley Business Incubator, supporting business development and innovation across the Central Valley.
