Shawn T. Alves

Shawn T. Alves is a member of Stone Crosby, P.C. who practices from the firm’s Daphne, Alabama office. He represents clients in complex commercial, business, real estate, construction, estate, and trust disputes. His practice also includes transactional work involving business organization, business planning, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, trusts, and multifaceted real estate matters. He helps clients address legal risks, structure important arrangements, and resolve disputes involving valuable property and business interests.

Alves earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of the South in 1994, graduating with honors. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1999. During law school, he served on the Alabama Law Review and participated in the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and the John A. Campbell Moot Court. He was also elected to the Order of the Coif, reflecting strong academic achievement and legal training.

Since joining Stone Crosby in 1999, Alves has handled both litigation and transactional matters across several connected practice areas. His experience includes difficult commercial disputes, real estate and construction matters, business conflicts, and estate and trust litigation. Shawn T. Alves is admitted to practice in Alabama and has held leadership and service roles in professional and community organizations. He served as president of the Baldwin County Bar Association and participated in Alabama State Bar Leadership Class IV. His board service has included the South Alabama Land Trust, the Alabama Free Clinic, the American Red Cross Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter, and other nonprofit organizations.
