Shannon Chao advises and defends employers in labor and employment law matters. Her practice includes representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies. She handles cases involving wage and hour issues, discrimination claims, and workplace compliance. Shannon also supports clients during union elections and labor disputes.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Cornell University. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in law school, she served on the Nevada Law Journal and built hands-on experience through several notable internships and externships.
Shannon strengthened her foundation in employment law through legal internships at the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. She also clerked at two national law firms and completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro of the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada. These experiences sharpened her understanding of complex employment disputes.
Shannon leverages her human resources experience at Caesars Entertainment to bring a practical, business-minded approach to employment law. She provides service-focused, real-world guidance to employers, helping them navigate complex workplace issues with clarity and strategic insight—especially in the fast-paced hospitality industry.
Shannon Chao is admitted to practice in Nevada and the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada. She is an active member of the State Bar of Nevada, including its Labor & Employment Law Section, and the Asian Bar Association of Nevada. With strong ties to Las Vegas, she remains committed to supporting employers throughout the local business community.
