Randall S. Strause

Randall S. Strause is a seasoned attorney with decades of legal experience focused on administrative compliance, employment disputes, and healthcare regulation. His wide-ranging practice includes arbitration, mediation, and business transactions, where he advocates for clients across Kentucky and the surrounding region in both litigation and regulatory matters.

Randall began his education with a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University in 1985. He earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1988. Further enhancing his qualifications, he obtained a Mediation Certificate from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies in Chicago, Illinois. He is licensed to practice in Kentucky, South Carolina, and multiple federal courts.

Randall’s legal career began with a federal clerkship for Judge Joseph M. Hood, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He then practiced at a major Louisville law firm, focusing on civil litigation in business, healthcare, and employment law. In 1994, he joined the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services and soon led the Administrative Hearings Branch, overseeing major regulatory hearings and decisions.

Randall also served as a Chief Administrative Law Judge, handling Medicaid appeals, licensure issues, and public health matters. Since returning to private practice in 1999, he has continued representing clients in administrative and regulatory law, real estate, and professional licensure defense throughout the country.

Randall has worked as a securities arbitrator for over twenty years, serving first with NASD and later with FINRA. He is also on the arbitration panel for the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors and acts as a mediator in various legal disputes involving securities and real estate.
