Sean Michael Lyons

With more than 25 years of trial experience, Sean Michael Lyons has represented individuals harmed by medical malpractice, defective devices, dangerous drugs, civil rights violations, and asbestos exposure. His expertise spans across several states and includes appearances in federal and state courts nationwide. His reputation is built on strong courtroom advocacy and dedicated client service.

Sean earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from American University in 1991. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994. After law school, he served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. United States District Judge Filemon B. Vela in Brownsville, Texas, which gave him a solid foundation in legal procedure and federal court practice.

Seanis Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His Bar admissions include Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Hawaii (inactive). He is also admitted to practice before several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Sean is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the American Association for Justice, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, where he serves as a director. He is a former president of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is also a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College and served as Chair of the Bexar County Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Fen-Phen litigation.
