Sarah Kohan is a committed criminal defense attorney who has dedicated her legal career to advocating for individuals across Washington State. Her practice includes criminal defense, civil protection orders, and post-conviction relief, with a focus on ensuring clients understand and navigate every step of the legal process with confidence and clarity.

Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2018 with dual bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and sociology. She then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law in 2021. During law school, she served as a managing editor for the Washington Law Review and published a scholarly comment addressing inequities in the sex offender registration system impacting the homeless.

Sarah gained hands-on legal experience through internships and clinics during her academic career. She externed with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and served as a Rule 9 Intern with the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel, where she defended low-income clients in DUI and misdemeanor cases. She later worked with the University of Washington’s Tribal Clinic, representing Tulalip Tribal members facing criminal charges.
