About

Sarah Ashley Cotterell Bandyopadhyay is the managing attorney of CB Immigration Law, where she provides compassionate and skilled immigration representation. With a strong foundation in international law and a career focused on human rights, she is committed to helping individuals and families navigate complex immigration challenges. From visa applications to green card processes and removal defense, her work is centered on connecting borders and building better futures.

Bandyopadhyay earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2013, with a concentration in International Law. She completed her undergraduate studies at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where she received a B.A. in History and Government and minored in International Studies.

Bandyopadhyay’s dedication to human rights began early in her legal journey. While in law school, she interned with an international criminal tribunal’s Prosecution division and contributed research for global justice initiatives as part of the War Crimes Project. She began her professional career as a research analyst at the Kentucky Consular Center before transitioning to immigration law, where she has served clients through various private firms. In 2015, she was admitted to the Tennessee Bar, and in 2016, to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Tennessee.

Driven by a passion for immigration law and personal experience with the visa process through her own family, Sarah Ashley Cotterell Bandyopadhyay founded her own firm to provide focused and empathetic legal services. As a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she continues to advocate for immigrant rights across Tennessee.
