Ryan J. Vlasak focuses on plaintiff litigation involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, employment disputes, tenant matters, and unfair business practices. Over the past 15 years, he has represented California plaintiffs in complex claims against corporations and insurance companies. His work includes cases involving fire injuries, brain trauma, lead poisoning, wrongful eviction, and wrongful termination.
Ryan earned an M.A. from Claremont Graduate University in 1999 and later completed an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. He then received a J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2005. In 2016, he completed the Negotiation and Leadership Executive Program at Harvard University.
Ryan has built a litigation practice devoted entirely to representing plaintiffs in civil disputes. He regularly handles personal injury, employment, landlord-tenant, elder abuse, civil rights, and wrongful death matters. His courtroom work has included major cases connected to tenant injuries, unsafe properties, employment claims, and large-scale fire litigation throughout California.
Ryan has also contributed to legal education and professional writing through articles, seminars, and speaking engagements. His published work has addressed wrongful discharge litigation, workplace discrimination, insurance policy limits, and settlement procedures. He has taught continuing legal education programs focused on jury selection, tenant safety concerns, employment discrimination, and plaintiff litigation strategies.
Ryan has received recognition for his legal work and advocacy within the plaintiff litigation field. His honors include selection as a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2014 to the present and the 2010 Attorney of the Year award from ALRP. He has also served in leadership and membership roles within several trial lawyer organizations.
