David Goudreau

David Goudreau is a Florida criminal defense attorney who handles DUI, felony, homicide, drug trafficking, and serious traffic matters. He has defended more than 1,000 cases and served as trial counsel in more than fifty jury trials. His practice includes DUI charges, felony DUI, first-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, sexual battery, and other high-stakes criminal cases involving freedom, record, and future consequences for accused people and their families in Florida courts.

Goudreau earned his B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University, graduating cum laude. He earned his J.D. from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, he served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Vice-President of the Criminal Law Society, and Treasurer of the Student Body Government.

Goudreau worked with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office before serving as a Certified Legal Intern at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. He later spent six-and-a-half years as a trial attorney with the Palm Beach Public Defender’s Office. He advanced to felony and serious crimes work, handling punishable-by-life cases and trying matters involving DUI, violent crime, and homicide allegations before juries in Florida courts and hearings for clients facing life sentences.
