Roy earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999. He later obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2008. His academic strengths include top recognition in patent office practice, marked by a CALI Excellence Award.
Roy’s background includes litigation across a broad range of technologies, such as semiconductors, mobile devices, ERP systems, pharmaceuticals, and haptics. Roy holds licenses to practice law in both Oregon and Illinois, and is also admitted before multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is also registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
